Train your mind to end your suffering

People think suffering is something big such as having to live in war zone, being robbed or getting hurt and have bad wound in your body. In fact, suffering itself can range from little frustration. Frustration can be explained with two scenarios; one is you want something but you can’t have them, another one is  you don’t want something but you keep having to face them. These scenarios keep happening in our daily life. You might feel annoyed, you don’t know what to do and how to react in these situations. suffering doesn’t have to be so heavy, it can range from something so simple to complicated such as you wake up early in the morning and go to the toilet and try to poop but can’t. You feel frustrated that you cannot poop that is also suffering.

Train the mind to end suffering

We live in a generation when each second, new innovation is invented. These innovations bring convenience in life. The more convenient it gets, more unsatisfied and impatience your mind gets. We live in a world with social media where everyone is obsessed with showing off their perfect life. So our mind starts to crave something we don’t have and we become unsatisfied, unhappy and impatient. We start to search for happiness in materials and in other people. We would be caught up with expectations and craving that our minds have, and when we are not able to fulfill, we became unhappy, so we suffer.

So what can we do to eliminate our suffering? You should stop being a  slave of your mind. Stop being controlled by your own mind but try to train it.

It is hard to change yourself, your daily habits but it’s also you who can change yourself. It all depends on you and the choices you make. By simply changing your daily habits, you can change yourself and the way you see the world. All you need is patience, understanding and stillness in your mind. How can you do that? By investing time in creating better and good habits. One effective tool is meditation.

Train the mind to end suffering

We do know that the mind controls the body, so why do we never think of changing our mind? Let’s try to start using our mind for our own good by meditating every day for 10 minutes. An easy way to do it is by following your breathing by feeling how the air goes in and out of your body and trying to focus on just this simple and natural activity we do every second of our lives. Find a comfortable position, close your eyes gently and start feeling the air going in and out of your body, try to keep your back straight and put your hands on your laps, enjoy the fact that you are here in this moment feeling alive, feeling the air filling your lungs, having people that love you, knowing that we have a new chance every day, a chance to make our lives better. Do this exercise every day, just 10 minutes for you, 10 min to feel the life inside of you.
